Open Forum

International Association for Plant Biotechnology (IAPB)

12th IAPB Congress to be held
 June 6-11, 2010 in
St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Welcome to IAPB’s “keywords” page and “open forum”.

The first step is to register as a new member and become part of IAPB’s online network of scientists. Once your membership is confirmed by the IAPB administrative office, you will be given access to both databases. The IAPB administrative office will not have authority to enter or change your information. However, it will be able to help you if you forget your password.

The “keywords” page will allow you to perform searches by research topic, scientist name, or country, or you can access the entire database by performing a “blank” search. We hope it fosters communication and that the site is user-friendly and helpful. The more people who add their contact and resources, the better the database will be. We suggest that whole words be entered to describe your research. In other words, type “agriculture” instead of “ag” and “tobacco mosaic virus” instead of “TMV”. We also suggest providing no more than five keywords. Entering your data indicates you agree to be contacted with questions from colleagues. Some of you may have visited the keywords page in the past and found your information already entered by the IAPB administrative office. That format worked well when the database was new and relatively small. But we are revamping the format to accommodate more users and we ask that you now register as a member and re-enter your contact information and keywords.

The “open forum” page will provide an avenue that fosters a free exchange of information. If you wish to pose a question to the entire membership, this forum will provide an opportunity to do so.

Your participation on either the “keywords page” or in the “open forum” indicates that you voluntarily provided information for publication on this website and that the IAPB is not obligated to monitor, review, or police such information. Further, the IAPB expressly disclaims any liability for the information or for the actions of users of such content, including but not limited to unsolicited contact of Members.

Please let us know if you find this site easy to use, useful, or how we might improve it. You can contact the IAPB administrative office with your thoughts and comments.
